Santa Rosa Residence
Having lost their house in the fires of northern California in 2017, our clients decided to take advantage of the unfortunate situation and finally build their dream home overlooking the rolling hills of Santa Rosa. The clients were looking for a comfortably sized house with two wings, one with a master and another wing for their children to stay when they visit. At the core of the house lies an A-frame roof to give the living and kitchen area a sense of grandeur, all while allowing them to take in the dramatic view past their pool, looking into wine country. The couple also wished to have an accessory dwelling unit and garage on their property for when their youngest daughter completes college and moves back home. While straightforward in construction, this unit takes on similar traits with a butterfly roof to complement, but not mimic the architecture of the main house.
