Wedge House

This unique Victorian, located in the historic South End, is comprised of two separate townhouses accessed from two distinct sides of the building. Due to the eccentric shape of the floor plate, each unit is a wedge in plan. After one half was purchased by a developer to restore it to its former glory, and to form a luxurious single-family residence over a span of four floors. The design and aesthetic sought to recreate the historic character of the South End without being overly extravagant, while retaining a feeling of clean modernity. The result was traditional, clean, and luxurious; properly suited for the context and the demands of life today.
